A 24-year-old mother identified as Oluchi Emeobi has allegedly sold her two-month-old baby in Anambra state to buy a motorcycle.
According to The Punch, the young lady was arrested on Saturday, July 8, after she conspired with her friend Nchedoch Richard to sell her baby.
It was gathered that the two friends sold the two-month-old baby to a woman who is popularly known as First Lady.

Garba Umar, the commissioner of police (CP) in the state disclosed that Emeobi came to the police station to report that her baby has been kidnapped.
The CP also revealed that N250,000 cash and a motorcycle she allegedly bought with the proceeds from selling her child was recovered after she was arrested.
Umar said:“In order to conceal her dastardly act, the suspect reported at the police station that she left her baby with a yet to be ascertained woman who absconded with the baby.”
“The matter is under investigation and efforts are being intensified to arrest First Lady and recover the baby.”
He also urged the public to feel free to come forward and give information on crimes witnessed or suspicions in other to nip crime in the bud.
